John Godina and the World Throws Center

They say, "You are the company that you keep." We at the World Throws Center at Athletes' Performance certainly hope this is the case. Gill Athletics creates some of the best track and field equipment in the World and has been doing it longer than anyone else. John Godina threw with Gill products from his first 1Kilo Hollowood Star Discus in 7th Grade to the Shot he used to claim his Indoor Lifetime Best of 71'11" in 2005. We at the World Throws Center know the dedication and focus it takes to be the best. Gill Athletics perfectly represents this ideal and we are proud to have them as our Equipment Partner.

John Godina "Signature Line" of Pacer Discus'

  • Pacer Gold Discus

My go-to pick in the Pacer lineup as an elite thrower. When you are ready to step up your game, this discus will rise to the occasion with you.

  • Pacer Orange Discus

This is a great mid-level discus that is easy to fly and rides the wind like a champ.

John Godina "Signature Line" of Shots and Hammers

  • Turned Iron Shots

Predictably balanced and ruggedly built... this is the Shot of World Champions.

  • Soft Hammer

The Gill Soft Hammer represents the most important advancement in Hammer Throwing in generations. I have chosen the Soft Hammer for our signature line because it will enable countless young athletes to experience hammer throwing for the first time - at almost any location, on almost any field with a throwing cage.

John Godina Endorsed Training Packs

  • WTC Shot Put Training Packs

The World Throws Center Shot Put Training Pack includes everything a Shot Putter needs to master basic positions and movements through the WTC Drill Progression. This thorough set begins with a WTC Drill Pack for speeding up the learning process. Next, with a Soft Shot for throwing into a wall or net the athlete can get in three times as many throws as a normal training session. With two Iron Shots the athlete will walk half the distance in a training session which can save 3/4 of a mile of walking... what a great way to preserve energy and get ten more quality throws!

  • WTC Discus Training Packs

The World Throws Center Discus Training Pack includes everything a Discus Thrower needs to master basic positions and movements through the WTC Drill Progression. This set begins with a WTC Drill Pack for speeding up the learning process. With Nocken Balls for throwing into a wall or net the athlete can get in four or five times as many throws as a normal training session. With two Discuses the athlete will walk half the distance in a training session which can save a mile of walking and help the athletes concentrate more on throwing well and remain fresh for the end of the practice. Also, the Discuses in the Discus Training Pack offer two different rim weights to grow with the athlete's skill level.

  • WTC Drill Pack

The World Throws Center Drill Pack is a versatile tool for learning built around the World Throws Center Drill Progression. It is a simple kit that has everything an athlete needs to develop a high-level understanding of the Shot Put and Discus. The World Throws Center Progression coupled with the equipment in the World Throws Center Drill Pack closes the learning gap by introducing feedback and reinforcement on the most important drills. With over 100 drills even the most elite athletes at the World Throws Center utilize these techniques to constantly reinforce the basics throughout the year.

  • WTC Ultimate Pack

The Ultimate Pack lives up to its name! We take the World Throws Center Drill Pack and add all of the implements from the Discus and Shot Put Training Packs to give a thrower everything they need to build a technical base that will last a lifetime. The only catch is that when you have every piece of equipment you could possibly need, there is no excuse to not practice today... so let's get to it!
