What is LEED?

The LEED® ( Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.

This LEED certification requires participants to earn credits in areas such as Materials and Resources, Sustainable Sites, and Indoor Environment Quality.  These credits must amount to 29 for a certification level but participants can achieve high certifications by accruing more points: 33-38 points for a Silver rating, 39-51 points for Gold, and 52-69 points for Platinum.

Gill and LEED

Gill recognizes the industry demand, innovative thinking, and environmental responsibility associated with LEED building practices.  To better facilitate these buildings, we are in the process of researching, testing, reviewing, and documenting our products.  Our goal is to make it easy for our customers to obtain their LEED credits and ‘go green’.
